Australia: The Land Where Time Began

A biography of the Australian continent

The Cobbler Sandhills (Cobbler Desert)

Situated between Lake Callaboona and Lake Blanche, it is part of the Strzelecki Desert. The dunes are replaced by small eroded knolls, usually with vegetation on top. It proved to be difficult to cross by car. It derived its name from the name given to the sheep that were the most difficult to shear, "Cobblers".
