Australia: The Land Where Time Began
This lake is in the Goran Basin of the Liverpool Plains. It is believed that extensive flooding of Lake Goran in 1990 contributed to the formation a new type of mound spring in fields that had been cleared for cotton growing. Aboriginal tools and flakes have been found around the sites of mound springs that were present in the area prior to the Pleistocene ice age.
