The Church of San Bernardo alle Terme
This basilica-style church is situated in the circular tower at the southwestern corner of the baths complex. It was built in 1598 in the spheristerium - ball games arena - on the external perimeter of the baths complex. It is similar in structure to the Pantheon. The famous German painter Johann Friedrich Overbeck, founder of the Nazarene art movement, is buried here.
