Australia: The Land Where Time Began
The Italian Chapel, Lamb Holm, Orkney Islands, Scotland
The chapel was built by Italian POWs working on the construction of the Churchill Barriers.
The Island of Lamb Holm, one of the Orkney Islands, it is an inhabited about 40 Ha in size, and linked to the islands of Mainland, Burray, South Ronaldsay and Glimps Holm by the Churchill Barriers, causeways between the islands built to prevent German submarines from passing between the islands.
