Australia: The Land Where Time Began

A biography of the Australian continent 

This is a Permian intracratonic rift basin covering an area of about 10,000 km² onshore and about 3,000 km² offshore. It underlies the central part of the Laura Basin. Prior to uplift and erosion during the Middle to Late Triassic, it may have covered a much larger area, including Triassic deposits.
