Pyramid Rock
Situated on the southern tip of Maria Island, off the southern coast of Tasmania, this rock is a remnant of the volcanic activity that occurred along the length of the Tasmanian coast where the future island was still connected to Gondwana. The material comprising this rock was spewed up along the widening rift that was forming between Tasmania and Antarctica.
