Bride's Pool

Bride's Pool, Hong Kong Links to Photo

The name came from a legend that a bride was being transported to her wedding in a sedan chair in stormy weather. It was said that as the passed along a path near the lake one of the porters slipped and the girl toppled out of the sedan into the lake where she drowned.

Bride's Pool is a lake in the north-western part of the New Territories, Hong Kong.
