Australia: The Land Where Time Began

A biography of the Australian continent

Fossil Sites in the Woomera Area

The sites in this area include: Island Lagoon, Fred's Swamp, a bit west of Woomera, Shell Lagoon, Koollymilka, Mt Eba, Haggard Hill, Jack's Hill, and Hallam Rise, on 'The Twins' Station near Miller's Ck, northwest of Woomera near the Stuart Highway. It is believed these sites are probably of the same silcrete Middle Eocene province as the Stuart Creek and Poole Creek, though the dating of them is uncertain.
