Menindee Lakes System

This system of lakes begin on the Darling River at Wentworth, about 200 km upstream of the junction between the Darling River and the Murray River. The 4 main lakes are Lake Menindee, Lake Cawndilla, Lake Pamamaroo and Lake Wetherell. They are a number of natural depressions that filled during floods.
