Identified in the Riversleigh deposits are millipedes (Diplopoda), ants (Formicidae), cicada (Hemiptera), beetles (Coleoptera), weevils (Curculionidae, slaters (Isopoda), ostracods (Ostracoda). Most of these were from the Early Miocene in the Upper Site. They come from terrestrial and aquatic environments.
